Yep.
Chinese food gives me constipation. I know mary suffers from the same thing. heh. (hope its better now!)
Been thinking bout how to blog about the trip.
I think back tracking is kinda meaningless. :X
But i shall try!
Highlight No 1: Forbidden City visit
Chinses flag at half mast for Sichuan earthquake victims. @ 2.28pm We're told to hold a minute of silence for the victims. Also told not to be alarmed by the the horns of vehicles which sounded. From what i observed, not everyone held a minute of silence for the victims. We did though. The chinese love their country. That i could tell.
It was crowded. I don't know bout the rest, but i felt like a stampede was bout to happen. Not too nice a feeling. The weather wasn't too good on that day either. It was windy. And the wind was carrying sand. This man says it all.
Then my dear roomie didn't felt too good. But she turned out fine. Thank God. I don't know who's taking the pictures. But they are amusing. Roomie getting the lead role actress treatment from all of us.

Then we explored the place. Was walking along when we came across this See the bunch of people in black pants surrounding the lady in pink?
They are her bodyguards. Seriously, are you that important or is china that unsafe?
Here's more. Haha. In a square formation when VIP is stationary.

The forbidden city was huge. Brother soo insisted that he use to stayed in the city in the past. Said that the buidling to the left was his gym, to the right his kitchen. haha. Random.
The sheer size of the forbidden city was kind of mind blowing. I guess the ancients had all the time in the world to walk from one place to another. No tv. No internet. No shopping centers! = too much time on han.d And they spent it all on "walking" cos...there's really nothing else to do. Hard to imagine really.
Zzz. His thrown
This was taken in the yu hua yuan. Emperor and empress would meet here once a month for a date to "shang yue". aka view full moon. Ro-man-ti-ke
