Random 8

Roomie was sick so i skipped farewell dinner (where and-you-ass won!!!!! woohoo.) to accompany her. Ordered room service for dinner in English. After ordering, the lady over the other end of the phone asked if she could a do anything else for me.

I said "yes. could you pls repeat my order?" Thank God I asked. Cause it turned out wrong. So i attempted to order in Chinese. Lesson learnt: Half pail Chinese is preferred over English anytime in Peking.
I kept the rose

Attendant who brought up the food was a chatty one. Asked were we're from bla bla bla. Dinner costs 115 rmb. I gave him 120 rmb and he asked if I wanted the change back! I said: yes. (who ask him talk so much)

-Evil-

Seriously, I don't see why i should tip when there's already 15% service charge charged to the bill

On the last official "full" day in peking. (flight next day at 3pm) We went to get lulu a birthday cake+present cos his birthday was round the corner (the next day right?). And unlike all of us, he was returning to Sg on a SQ flight set to depart eh...16 hrs earlier than the rest of us.

But the thing is...the cake we ordered took forever to be delivery to our room and lulu was going to leave for the airport! So.........we tried to stop him from leaving by taking pictures with him.

SJ and Lulu
Miss Q's turn

Lulu doesn't quite like me. haha. So come my turn. He wanted to leave so i had no choice but to block the door. (wasn't difficult as u can see :x)

Wa. This shot has everything written on Miss Q's face. Its the "anxious+ wait, wait, wait, everyone pls calm down" look. Nikki, why you always jumping in photos ah?Rather than risk causing lulu to miss his flight and have him curse us for the rest of his life. We decided to let him go after this gp shot - bro soo behind the cam.

After loads of drama bout not paying the for the cake but finally did later (we managed to get the service charge waived. thanks to SJ who did most the "arguing" w the hotel staff in semi Chinese) we have happy Lulu with his present and cake.

We got him a strapped green polo and a tiramisu birthday cake. That's the happy birthday boy :)
~

Pity no one appreciated the lovely cake. So i ate 90% of cake on my bed. muhahaha. Boy, that made me one happy girl. Couldn't bare to throw the thing away lah. Kept thinking my Dad would love the cake. But he's a few thousand miles away.

Took a few pictures of the clouds on the flight from Peking to HK. The endless sea of clouds were beautiful under the afternoon sunlight. (due to some blue scattering thing which reen explained to me about but i cannot rmb)

That's the plane making its turns. Camera was not tilted!
Landed in HK and had to rush for 8pm flight at gate 80. At 7.40.We're still at the ticketing counter trying to get our boarding pass. We were literally jogging with hand luggage at HK airport.

But the good thing bout checking in late is that you get upgraded. hehehe. 4 out of 6 of us got upgraded to business class on the Cathay flight cause the economy class was full. Miss Q had slippers on and understanding and gracious nikki volunteered to accompany her behind the partition.

Happy business class passenger SJ and bro soo (SJ ordered a signature drink called cloud nine which i wanted to order. Took a sip from her b4 i did. It's super strong and i figured i won't drink much. So i didn't order. Thou shall not waste food!)

Wine list and menu
No more packets of nuts but roasted almonds (which tasted damn nice lah)
Starters with my choice of bread.
I ordered sirloin steak!
Oreo cheesecake with blueberry jam for desert. (that's after some fruits and selection of cheese which i didn't take a picture of. Don't wanna look to touristy)

A perfect ending to a fantastic trip! So much fun and making what i call "instant friends". haha. Cheers to the shitloads of fun we had.
